A User's Tour of the Operator Portal with the University of Guelph
May 22, 2026
The University of Guelph runs one of the longest-standing reusable container programs in higher ed, approaching a million reuses across campus, with more than 1,100 individual containers each used over 100 times.
Behind those numbers is the daily operational work of running a reuse program at scale — managing inventory across multiple units, redistributing containers between locations, avoiding stockouts at peak periods, and using data to inform restocking decisions. In this session, Brooke Gregoire from the University of Guelph walks through how she uses the Reusables Operator Portal to run the program day-to-day. Jasper Law from Reusables hosts, with a live tour of the portal and a closer look at how operational decisions get shaped by the data.
What we'll cover:
- A live walkthrough of the Operator Portal — containers, location performance, and return management.
- How Guelph identifies dormant inventory and informs container redistribution
- Solving the stockout problem with portal data
- Live Q&A
Who it's for: operators currently running, recently launched, or planning a reusable container program.
