No. The program works without the app. The app simply adds extra features like tracking containers and return reminders.
Is it really free?
Yes! Borrowing is free for 5 days. After that, a $7 refundable deposit applies. If you were charged, just return the container within 30 days and you’ll receive a full refund.
If the container isn’t returned within 30 days, the $7 deposit is kept.
Where do I return containers?
Return containers to any Smart Return Bin around Bentall 4. You don’t need to return it to the same restaurant.
Can I borrow more than one container?
Yes. Just tap your card again for additional containers - there's no limits!
