Borrow and return a reusable container twice between August 17 and December 1, and you're in the draw for one cash prize of $10,000. One entry per person, tracked in the app. No purchase necessary.

Two containers borrowed and returned is all it takes. Download the app to keep track.
Reuse only works when people actually use it. So the draw runs on the thing you already do — borrow a container, return it at a bin, and do it once more.
Take a reusable container at your dining hall, then return it at any Smart Return Bin™ or Station. That's one use.
Do it once more before December 1 and you're entered. The app keeps count, so you always know where you stand.
One lucky winner is drawn at the end of the fall semester and takes home $10,000 in cash.
Open to students enrolled at any participating campus in the United States and Canada. Canadian entrants selected in the draw complete a short skill-testing question before the prize is awarded, as required by law.

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A purchase does not improve your chances of winning.
Open to individuals who are (a) legal residents of the fifty United States, the District of Columbia, or Canada, excluding Quebec, (b) the age of majority in their province, state, or territory of residence at the time of entry, and (c) currently enrolled students, faculty, or staff at one of the following participating institutions during the entry period: University of Guelph, Pomona College, University of Victoria, UCLA/ASUCLA, Simon Fraser University, UC Riverside, and MacEwan University. Employees of Reusables, its affiliates, agencies, each participating institution's dining/food-service operations, and their immediate families are not eligible. Void where prohibited.
The entry period begins August 17, 2026 at 12:00:00 a.m. PT and ends December 1, 2026 at 11:59:59 p.m. PT ("Entry Period"). Only container uses completed within the Entry Period qualify. Reusables' system clock is the official timekeeper.
There are two ways to enter, and both offer an equal chance of winning. A "qualifying use" is one reusable container borrowed through a Reusables checkout and returned in acceptable condition to a Smart Return Bin™ or Smart Return Station within the standard return window. Completing two (2) qualifying uses during the Entry Period earns one (1) entry, awarded automatically to the account that borrowed the containers. Each eligible individual may receive a maximum of one (1) entry total for the duration of the promotion, regardless of entry method — additional uses beyond two do not earn additional entries and do not improve your chances of winning. Uses that are not returned, are returned damaged, or are reversed for any reason do not count. Free entry, no reuse required: you do not need to use the Reusables app, hold a Reusables account, or complete any reuse activity to enter. Submit the online entry form with your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and campus, at any time during the Entry Period, for one (1) entry. Limit one entry per person via this method; duplicate submissions from the same person will be removed. Completing both entry methods still results in only one (1) total entry.
One (1) grand prize of ten thousand dollars ($10,000 USD, or the Canadian dollar equivalent at the exchange rate on the draw date for a Canadian winner), awarded as a single cash payment. Total approximate retail value: $10,000. Prize is non-transferable and no substitution or cash equivalent is offered except at the sponsor's sole discretion. All taxes and any expenses not specified here are the winner's responsibility.
One winner will be selected in a random draw from all eligible entries at the end of the fall 2026 semester, on or about December 11, 2026, conducted by Reusables. Odds of winning depend on the total number of entries received.
As required by Canadian law, a selected entrant who is a Canadian resident must correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question before being declared the winner. This requirement applies regardless of whether the entrant qualified through the reuse entry or the free entry form. If the selected entrant does not respond within five (5) business days or answers incorrectly, they forfeit the prize and an alternate entrant will be drawn.
The selected entrant will be notified by phone call or SMS within three (3) business days of the draw, using the phone number on their Reusables account (for reuse entrants) or the phone number provided on their entry form (for free-entry entrants), and must confirm eligibility and sign a declaration and release (and where applicable a publicity release) within five (5) business days. Unclaimed prizes are forfeited and an alternate entrant drawn, up to three attempts.
By participating, entrants agree to these rules and to the decisions of the sponsor, which are final and binding. The sponsor may disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, abuses the container system, or acts in a manner it deems fraudulent or disruptive, and may modify, suspend, or cancel the draw if it cannot be run as planned. Personal information is handled per the Reusables privacy policy and used only to administer the draw. This promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Apple, Google, or any participating institution.
