The ocean already contains 165 million tonnes of plastic. By 2050, plastic in the ocean will outweigh fish. In that same year, GHG emissions associated with plastic production, use and disposal, would account for 15% of allowed emissions as per the Paris Agreement. Recycling is the current solution to single-use plastic, however only 5% of plastic is recycled in the U.S. (9% in Canada). Governments around the world are banning single-use plastics and leading businesses have made commitments to eliminate packaging waste across their product offerings by 2030. Experts have proven reusable packaging in a circular economy to be the most environmentally sustainable option. However, food businesses, our primary target market, are facing a major challenge in the adoption of reusables: the costs and complexity associated with offering reusable packaging on their own are untenable. For consumers, there currently is no mainstream option for reusable packaging.

Who we are is a zero-waste platform and we are creating a new future for food packaging.

We are a mission-driven technology company helping food businesses and their customers eliminate single-use plastic waste through IoT-enabled Reusables-as-a-Service. Our core technology is a proprietary tracking software that connects with our IoT-enabled tags, two mobile applications and an operator portal to enable many consumers and merchants to share an inventory of reusable containers within a network (e.g. city, university campus, grocery chains). Our product is a Reusables-as-a-Service that enables any food business to offer their customers a convenient zero-waste packaging experience. For consumers, our membership takes the guilt away from takeaway packaging and offers rewards for reusing across a growing network of restaurants, cafes and grocery stores.

Objective of the role

This growing early-stage Vancouver-based consumer-technology company is looking for a Store Success Manager to ensure excellent service to our store partners. In this role, the Store Success Manager will have the creative flexibility to design a framework around effective account management of locations using Reusables to achieve exceptional customer satisfaction. None of the workdays will look exactly the same and every week will be a mix of checking in with existing customers as well as onboarding new partners. The ideal candidate for the Store Success Manager role will have a growth mindset to scale quickly with the company. The successful candidate will work closely with the Account Executive and the operations team with a goal of providing the most seamless onboarding experience possible.

The key areas of this role are the following:

1) Account Management

  • Maintain existing accounts and ensure staff familiarity with the product;
  • Perform staff training and re-training when needed.

2) New Customer Onboarding

  • Be the customer-facing contact for the first delivery of Reusables;
  • Ensure seamless installation of the product on premises.

Experience and Qualifications:

The position is ideal for a passionate self-starter who is looking to apply their skills and experience in a dynamic customer-facing role.

Basic Requirements

  • 2-5 years customer service experience with proven ability to build strong customer relationships.
  • Basic proficiency with mobile devices: ability to download apps and troubleshoot by following manuals.
  • Ability to think critically on the spot and make decisions under pressure.
  • Strong verbal communication skills, able to express yourself in a clear, concise, and empathetic manner.
  • Located in Metro Vancouver.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Quick learner. Team player.
  • Ability to thrive at multitasking and prioritizing in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excitement about finding new and complex problems to solve.
  • Knowledge or experience in the circular economy domain.
  • Experience in food retail or restaurant sector.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Have a passenger car and valid drivers license.
